New remote control dimmer switch
Just installed a remote control dimmer switch in my bedroom. It only uses one button on the remote leaving 7 open for other automation projects that i will be working on soon hopefully.

The Cork Board!
I got the bug this weekend and I had to make something, and since I had a collection of corks that my grandmother had given me, I decided to do something with those. It is straightforward, just corks glued to a piece of plywood but I think it looks cool and can double as a bulletin board.
Next step is to build a frame for it. And take a picture of it without the sockets in the shot.

Panda's New Cage
I just upgraded my hamster's cage. I felt that the old one was too small for her. She definitely outgrew it. So here are a couple of photos and a video.
I had to cut the hole to connect her tube myself, in this first picture that's what she is climbing out of.

Music evolution
Music evolution
A new track over on my soundcloud page.
It's a little bit unfinished but I haven't been getting time to work on this stuff much recently and I got impatient and wanted to upload it.

My first instructable!
I wanted to give back to the instructable community (it did, after all, have a major influence on me and what i like to do), and while I was working on building a clock for my bedroom I saw my opportunity.
My first instructable is on a quartz clock with binary numbers. The site itself inspired the idea as there are many instructions to build actual binary clocks, and this is just a different take on it.
The instructable can be viewed here.
And for good measure here is a photograph of the completed clock:
It's almost round! as best I could do by hand, anyway.

Rolling Stones Stencil on Duct Tape
I love the rolling stones, and as since my most frequently used paint colours are black, white and red, I am constantly finding myself with the desire to paint their logo. So I did. the results:
It is sprayed on to a sheet of duct tape that I made especially for the logo and then pinned up onto a door for photography purposes.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! Here is a picture of my dog as an angel:
Also I will take the opportunity to show off the gift that I made for my Jess this Christmas:
It is a ~35cmx35cm tile portrait.
I went down to the local tile shop, picked up 9 white tiles. Then, I decoupage glued tissue paper with a photo-shopped image printed onto it to each tile. I then mounted it onto a board that I had just painted black. and voila! Tile portrait. The red of Jess's glasses didn't turn out as vibrant as I would have liked, but I'm pretty pleased with it nonetheless.

Some Stencil Portraits
I love creating portraits of people (or animals) using stencils.
I take a photograph that I like and use Photo Shop to design a stencil based on it.
I then print it off, cut it out, and apply paint, creating these (in my opinion) lovely art works.
All art is more lovely when you've made it yourself. And the beauty about these is that you don't need to be great at drawing, all you need are a few photo shop skills.

Bird Box
For my girlfriends mums birthday I built a bird box, and although I painted it black, I forgot to take a picture of it before giving it away. I do have one picture though.
Also, instructions on how to build a bird box can be found at www.rspb.org.uk.
I highly encourage this, it is so rewarding to see a bird living in a nest that you built for it, also they make great gifts and are great for local bird populations. Just make sure you follow the guidelines outlined by the RSPB as you could potentially be putting birds in danger by trying to help them (for example, if you place it where a cat or fox might reach it or you use paint or varnish on the inside of the box).
